Eating and Transport in Cat Ba, Vietnam

Gidday Craig I enjoyed your writing on getting to Cat Ba .We will probably do it the more expensive way but I would like to know if there is a lot of different place to eat there. Also we are looking to stay at the Cat Ba resort and would like to know if there is transport back and forth to Cat Ba town. Your assistance would be appreciated

Howdy,

Yeah, there are plenty of places to eat, but hard to find something in stock or within a reasonable price — price gouging to the extreme. I ate (by choice or by the only option available after 8pm) a scrambled egg sandwich every day I was there.

Humm, not sure about that specific resort. If it's on the island itself, the roads are in great shape and easy to get around by local transport.
