Are You Secretly Independently Wealthy?
Question- you’ve been traversing the globe for quite some time now. How are you financially supporting yourself? Are you secretly independently wealthy and I didn’t know it? If so, what the HELL was I doing buying YOU gifts way back when? =)
My current boyfriend (of two years) is finishing his degree in computer something-or-other (not my forte) and you, my friend, would be a fabulous role-model. Pray tell, how DO you do it?

Nope, I wasn't (and still am certainly not) independently wealthy… but I'm certainly independent… and free.
My secret is not well kept: Sell everything you own and don't look back, explore with open eyes both on and off the tourist trail to better understand the beast, and travel in places humbling until you realize that $10/night for a room is not cheap. Don't drink your savings away, buy souvenirs, or pretend that the evil of the world isn't waiting for you to slip up. Embrace the good in people despite the sorrow you've seen inflicted by their countrymen. Avoid the police at all costs. And let life be as entertaining and interesting as it naturally is — freed from the confines of an office cubical.
